Larry Fedec has more than 35 years of waste management consulting experience, with an emphasis on strategic planning and approval processes
for waste management facilities and systems, and has been HDR’s Solid Waste Program Lead in Canada for the past eight years. His career began with work on a wide range of waste management master plans leading to the development of new municipal waste diversion programs and infrastructure. He has also lead consultation and engagement programs with Indigenous communities and a wide range of stakeholders including political councils, government agencies, special interest groups, and the general public. His experience includes managing large waste management plans, landfill related environmental assessments, facility approvals, industrial waste system development, and financial/business planning projects.

Through his work, Larry has been extensively involved in Ontario’s disposal capacity planning processes and issues for many years. Larry currently is a Co-Chair of W2RO’s Transfer and Disposal Committee.
