About Paul van der Werf

Paul van der Werf, PHD, is an adjunt professor in the Department of Geography and the Ivey Business School at Western University. In addition to his academic expertise, he has more than 30 years of waste management industry experience. He has expertise in: all aspects of food and organic waste management; the development and assessment of models to estimate waste generation, composition, and where relevant the recovery rate of various waste streams; and objective third part assessment of waste management systems and programs.
