Waste to Resource Ontario (W2RO) proudly presents an exclusive webinar on "Understanding Canadian ECCC Regulations for Landfill Methane Detection and Available Technologies for Compliance"

New regulations from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) will impose new compliance requirements aimed at reducing methane emissions from landfills by 50% below 2019 levels by 2030. The new rules are expected to take effect in January 2027. This webinar will assist Canadian landfill operators and environmental engineers in understanding the requirements and methods for identifying and quantifying methane emissions, helping them prepare for these changes. It will provide solutions for a proactive approach that facilitates greater flexibility and readiness when the rules are enforced. The session will also cover available technologies for detecting methane in landfills.
