About County of Oxford

Oxford County is located along the 401 between the City of London and the Region of Waterloo. The County is responsible for waste management services for 8 municipalities characterized by three urban areas (Woodstock, Tillsonburg and Ingersoll) and five rural communities. The County's population sits at 110,000 with approximately 49,000 households. Waste management services include weekly curbside garbage collection and bi-weekly recycling collection. Additional services for leaf and yard waste, household hazardous waste, electronics, tires, scrap metal, white goods and construction and demolition recycling are offered through special events and permanent depots. The County also owns and operates its own landfill site which receives waste from within the County from both the residential and IC&I sectors.
